In my dog and me, Henri (Yvan Attal) is a middle-aged writer with faded inspiration who hasn't published anything of note in recent years. Feeling increasingly misunderstood by his wife and four grown children, he dreams of running away to start over. However, when he discovers a clumsy and ill-mannered dog in his garden, he decides to adopt him and both begin to develop an unexpected friendship that inevitably bothers the family and neighbors of Henri.
