Two ostrich had formed a deep friendship with each other and were very fond of each other. They always walked together and one could not do without the other. However, there was a problem between them.
— Today, we have to play what I want! shouted one of them, annoyed.
'Don't even think about it, my dear. I'm better at inventing games than you. And so, I'm going to explain today's game. replied the other, rebellious.
These discussions were daily, as both wanted to rule and impose their ideas. When the day ended, the two returned to their homes, very upset. They hadn't been able to play at anything and ended up having dinner grudgingly.
As soon as they met the next day, they reconciled immediately. But then the discussions started again.
Finally, one of them had an idea, shortly after one of the usual useless reconciliations.
— Look, today we're not going to play what I want, nor what you want. We had better get serious, so we can come to an agreement.
For the first time there was no confrontation. Both made an examination of conscience and understood that the only way to remedy the situation was to let each one choose the game of a day. That way there would be no disagreements.
From then on, they put this idea into practice and never again argued over the jokes.
