The measure of one year is related to the movement of the stars. One year is the time it takes the Earth to make a complete circle around the Sun. It is known today that this takes 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes and 46 seconds. Even before humans learned about the Earth's movement around the Sun, the first people who dedicated themselves to agriculture certainly they had already noticed that the climate on our planet had four distinct phases and that they repeated themselves after a certain period of time. The phases of climate are known as the seasons.
