Well, blinking is very important for eye health! This opens and closes helps to spread the tear over the entire surface of the eye. […] Contrary to what many people think, we don't produce tears only when we cry. They are produced all the time by a structure above the eyes, the lacrimal gland. And why spread this tear? […] The tear cleans the impurities from our eyes to protect them. Furthermore, this blink reflex also prevents larger particles from entering our eye. He knows? When you see that little bug flying towards your eye, you blink, don't you? And you do it without thinking, to protect your eye and not let the pet in.
