NAME:
Simão the monkey, and Pussy the cat, live together in the same house. And paint the seven. One steal things, rummages through drawers, hides scissors, torments the parrot; another scratches the rugs, frays the pillows, and drinks the children's milk.
But despite friends and associates, the monkey knows how to act with such maromba who always wins.
It was like that in the case of chestnuts.
The cook had roasted some chestnuts on the coals and had gone to the garden to gather spices. Seeing the kitchen empty, the two rogues approached. Said the monkey:
– Buddy Puss, you, who have a handy paw, take the chestnuts out of the fire.
The cat did not insist and artfully began to remove the chestnuts.
– Okay, a…
– Now the one over there… This. Now that fat girl… That's it. And the one on the left, which snapped...
The cat took them off, but the one who ate them, greedily, winking, was the monkey...
Suddenly, the cook appears, furious, stick in hand.
– Wait there, dammit!
The two burglars bucked off.
– Good piece huh? - Said the monkey far away.
The cat sighed:
– For you, who ate the chestnuts. For me it was terrible, because I risked the fur and I was fasting, not knowing what a roasted chestnut tastes like.
