You may have heard of the spine, but do you know its function in the human body? Formed by a set of 33 vertebrae (bones joined together by discs and ligaments), this structure supports the head (goes from the neck to the waist region), protects the spinal cord spinal cord (cord of the nerve that joins the brain to the nerves throughout the body) and also offers support for some ribs and muscles - responsible for helping to maintain posture upright.
Thanks to the spine, you can make various movements, such as bending your body, turning left and right, and tilting your head back and forth. So that there is no fatigue or pain while you move, it is very important to have good body posture: the neck, middle and lower back should be aligned and balanced.
The reasons for not maintaining the right posture may have reasons you can't even imagine! For example, shyness – the person wants to be invisible and not attract attention. Or come from the habit of sitting untidily on the couch or at school. Incorrect posture brings several damages to health, such as back pain, headaches, respiratory problems and even discomfort in the digestive system.
The best position is on your side, with a pillow that puts your head at body level.
Keep your back straight, supported by the backrest. The arms must be on the chair support. Keep your shoulders relaxed and your feet flat on the floor.
Distribute your body weight between your legs, keep your feet facing forward and flat on the floor (wear comfortable shoes), and your abdomen contracted. The head should be upright, with the chin parallel to the floor (avoid walking around touching the cell phone, which forces the neck down). Arms can swing naturally.
