NAME:
A circus has set up in the savannah. Adults and children stare in wonder at the large yellow and red canvas. Waiting for the numbers of Mimi, the trapeze artist, Leo, the magic bear, and Zuzu, the clown chimpanzee.
Eli the little elephant would like to be in the show. I would like to be a tightrope walker! When he talks about this dream, his friends make fun of him:
– How could an elephant keep its balance on a string?
But, Eli doesn't give up. On opening night, all the animals gather under the big canvas. Mr. Leal announces:
– And under your applause, I ask you to welcome Eli, the first tightrope walker!
And Eli appears: With four legs aligned, ears erect and trunk extended forward, advancing proudly on an invisible thread.
A thunder of applause rewards him: Eli is actually the first elephant to go light!
