Many butterfly species are disappearing. This happens because of a number of factors, mainly because of men's wrong actions. Sometimes men don't realize that they hurt butterflies; at other times they even act as hunters, catching the animals in the wild as a hobby or for sale.
When a farmer uses fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides, he is often contributing to the extinction of butterflies. The use of these chemicals actually causes much greater destruction: deforestation. Therefore, it contributes to the degradation of the environment. Deforested environment, where will butterflies lay their eggs? What will caterpillars feed on? Where will the cocoons be protected? How will adults find fruits and flowers?
The destruction of areas of forests and parks for the construction of buildings and houses affects the life cycle of butterflies, which depend on certain plants throughout their development. In fact, the destruction of a green area affects the entire ecosystem in which the area was inserted. A big problem that not everyone is aware of.
That's why it's important to talk about these actions: there are people who need to be enlightened about the harm they cause to nature. They do not realize what they are doing and that the serious consequences of their actions will be felt in the future. But speaking of butterflies, there is still a group of people that is directly responsible for the destruction of the species. And who knows it. They are the butterfly hunters.
Some are collectors. Others capture butterflies to decorate craft items such as paintings and clocks. In either case, the issue is that hunters can kill many butterflies, of different species, in just one day.
Like many other animals in nature, butterflies are very important for the balance of an ecosystem and must be preserved. Now you know how. If you know someone who catches butterflies, show them how critical it is to preserve them. Imagine a world without butterflies…
