Having so many different beings inhabiting the same planet is a privilege. Scientists call this wealth biodiversity. However, sharing a “house” with so many species is also a challenge: if any changes happen, some “residents” may not get used to them.
Imagine that, for some reason, the planet's climate changes. Some animals and plants may not adapt to the new climate and, as a result, their chances of survival decrease, causing their population to decrease or even disappear.
If the climate warms, for example, and the Arctic ocean ice melts, the polar bear will no longer be able to survive. This sad example can become reality because some human activities are really messing with the Earth's climate.
