In a village, there lived a hunter who used to boast of his bravery. He would tell villagers fictional stories of how he had fought and killed a lion. The humble villagers believed his stories and praised the hunter for his bravery.
In the same village, there lived a woodcutter who did not believe the stories the hunter used to tell.
One day, the hunter was passing through the forest. There he found the woodcutter, who was busy chopping wood.
– Brother, have you seen a lion or its footprints?
"It's been days since I killed a lion," said the foolish hunter.
The woodcutter was very smart and said:
– Yes, and didn't I see a lion? He's resting in his lair nearby. Shall I take you there, O brave hunter?
Hearing this, the hunter was frightened and immediately fled.
