When an old lady lost her eyesight, she called a doctor. She promised to pay him a large sum if he cured her, but if he failed, she would not give him a penny. The doctor agreed. He would go to the old lady's house every day for treatment.
Turns out the doctor was greedy and dishonest. He started by stealing valuables from the old lady's house. Every day, he took one thing or another. And so she took away all the valuables from the old lady's house.
Finally, when the old lady was cured, the doctor asked for her payment. The old woman refused, however, saying that she had not been fully healed.
The doctor was furious and took her before the judge.
When the judge questioned the old woman, she said that her eyesight was still not good because she could not see the things of value that she had.
The judge was shrewd. He understood everything and punished the doctor.
