Zoolândia had been a very peaceful and pleasant town to live in. But, for some time now, things had changed. An entire gang of bandits, under the command of the great dog Dogo, sowed terror among the poor neighbors. No safe could resist them, and walking down the street alone at night was a real temerity, as these thieves attacked the first they came across.
The hippopotamus, brave and good-natured, did not want to be infected by the panic that affected his neighbors. He continued to do his usual life. He had just set up a grocery store, stocked with all the goodies.
Sitting in the doorway, basking in the morning sun, he was quietly reading his newspaper. Suddenly, Dogo and his companions appeared and forced him into the store. They were masked and armed.
"Give us all the cash in the box, or you're a dead hippo!" ' threatened the fierce Dogo.
The shop owner obeyed and handed them thirty large bills. Ufa! It was his undoing, but that wasn't why he would lose his cool and his balance.
Dogo and his minions rushed to the exit. As they were about to go through the door, they felt a tight net fall on them, immobilizing them.
— Heavens! A network! We got caught! exclaimed Dogo.
A group of cubs, authors of the magnificent capture, laughed a little further on.
— What a success, comrades! The cops weren't able to arrest them and we did! exclaimed the one who appeared to be the chief.
For a long time, there was talk at Zoolândia about the feat of the little ones who, obviously, were all lion cubs.
