The term science fiction (or SF) refers to stories in which unusual situations occur, but which – pay attention, now! – are explained by science. Or, at least, they should be, since authors often create these situations based on real possibilities. They may speak, for example, of a technology not yet available, an unknown virus or a war that has not yet taken place. The important thing is that, no matter how imaginative the stories, the explanation behind them must always be linked to the laws that govern our universe, and not ____ magic or the supernatural. In this case, it is fantasy and not science fiction, even if the scenario is the future or a galaxy located light years from Earth.
