The mouse and the mouse were two brothers who lived with their mother in a hole on a farm. There they were warm and sheltered, safe from the inclement weather. Their mama gave them all the food they needed and they had nothing to worry about.
When their mother told them to go to sleep, they always obeyed, annoyed. One fine night, they went in search of their friends; the stars were shining in the sky and it was so nice to be outside!
As far as they went, they didn't find any of their friends; these, of course, slept soundly.
They kept walking, walking, until they realized that they had come a long way from their home; they did not know the landscape that surrounded them. They were afraid because the wind began to howl and the darkness became menacing.
They hugged each other and suddenly they heard a noise. They shuddered in amazement. Could it be a cat? Time seemed to have stopped and the person responsible for the noise was slowly approaching. Their teeth began to chatter in fear, unable to make any move. They felt that their last hour had come, since it was certainly their fiercest enemy: the cat.
But in the end, everything turned out well. The mother had gone looking for them and it was she who had made the noise. The two mice returned to the house very happy. They had had a rough time and they wouldn't do it again. […]
