The bunny and the pelican became great friends. They went to school together, they were neighbors and their families had known each other forever.
— Oh! ah! ah! — the little rabbit laughed, mocking his friend's beak. “Any day your beak will be so heavy you won't be able to get out of bed. So let me know so I can help you.
"Keep laughing, one day we'll see who's going to need who!" replied the pelican, without getting upset.
A few months later, what the little bunny had predicted happened; only in reverse. Two hounds chased after him, mad with fury. The little bunny was almost lost when his pelican friend landed next to him, opening his immense beak. As soon as the bunny hid in him, the pelican took flight, thus saving his friend from a horrible and certain death.
