The African country with a Christian majority does not celebrate Christmas on December 25th, but on January 7th, the day after the “Day of Saints Kings”. On this date, “Ko-lee”, a traditional game, is part of the celebrations. The game is similar to hockey, but the clubs are made from dry sticks and the ball is made of wood. The goal is to remember the shepherds who played the night Jesus was born.
