procyonids

Procyonids are animals belonging to the Procyonidae family, encompassing raccoons, coatis, kiparás and olingos. They are small animals, divided into 13 species spread across the Americas. They inhabit different types of landscapes, from dense forests and wetlands to arid environments. They have a very varied omnivorous diet, feeding on fruits, small vertebrates and plant matter. In Brazil, there are 4 species of this family.
