Garfield is a lazy cat who loves lasagna and has the life he's always wanted: he eats, sleeps and watches TV whenever he wants. Until his owner, Jon Arbuckle (Breckin Meyer), decides to adopt a dog, Odie. Annoyed with the new guest, who now shares his owner's attention with him, Garfield starts a private dispute with Odie. However, when Odie is kidnapped, Garfield feels remorseful and sets out to save the dog.
