Some changes were made to the original writing of this initial excerpt from the review of the film “The fabulous destiny of Amélie Poulain”. Note that the protagonist's name is repeated several times. Think of words that can replace that name by rewriting the text:
The film tells the story of Amélie Poulain (Audrey Tautou), a girl who carries the weight of a lonely childhood, in she with whom she was deprived of contact with other children and was greatly influenced by her overprotective and antisocial parents. Amélie goes through the early years of life locked in her own universe of imagination, hoping the day will come when she is old enough to leave home. So, when she comes of age, Amélie starts to live alone and work as a waitress at Café Dois Moinhos.
One day, Amélie finds an old souvenir box in her apartment and decides to look for the object's owner. Noticing the shock of man when faced with this small treasure from his past, Amélie starts to have a new vision of existence, taking on the mission of putting order in the mess of the lives of people.
