Jill (Aava Merikanto) and Joy (Lilja Lehto) are two ordinary little girls, maybe a little more cheerful. than the others, as they live in a special place, Rose Alley, in a house made especially for they. The girls often play in the field near where they live.
One day, an orphanage opens near the girls' house. A boy named Pekki disappears. He flees from there and seeks shelter in Jill and Joy's garden. When he is discovered by them, the boy tells him that life in the orphanage is not good at all. The situation occurs because of the strict director of the institution.
To help Pekki and the other children residing there, Jill and Joy gather their friends from Rose Alley and together form a team to save the orphanage. The gang is willing to do anything to make it a better place to live.
