The fearless Peter Pan (Jeremy Sumpter) is a boy who never grows up and lives in Neverland with his adventure companions, the Lost Boys, and the fairy Tink (Ludivine Sagnier), a dear and jealous friend.
One night, Peter Pan visits the Darling family home to hear more stories told by Wendy (Rachel Hurt-Wood) to her brothers John (Harry Newell) and Michael (Freddie Popplewell). Unintentionally, the visitor lets his shadow escape and creates a small mess.
Peter Pan tries to convince the girl and her brothers to travel with him to Neverland. From there, they start a journey full of surprises and challenges with unforgettable feats. The young men battle Peter's dangerous enemy, the evil Captain Hook (Jason Isaacs), and his band of pirates.
The rivalry with the corsairs and the unmistakable sound of the sword fight set the stage for the adventures, which Peter Pan and the Lost Boys live with their new friends, in the legend about a place where children neither grow nor need to age.
Without responsibilities, they live to play. Still, the troupe has to escape the hypnotic siren song, dodge the fantastical beings and face the terrifying crocodiles, like the giant Tic-Tac that one day devoured one of the Captain's hands Hook.
The emotion also involves the creaking of the board of the old Jolly Roger ship and the incredible sensation of flying with the magic of believing in pixie dust. Romance is also in the air during the fantasy plot with Tink's charm and a certain boy's crush on the captivating Wendy.
With a darker and more romantic tone than the story told in the cartoon version, the adaptation contemplates the discovery of a love hitherto unknown by Peter Pan. The reinterpretation inspired by the original work of the play, written by James Matthew Barrie, touches and conquers the hearts of fans of all ages.
