Read:
They have two venom glands in their skin, one behind each eye, which are only activated when squeezed.
To croak, they inflate and empty their mouths, forming a pouch. In the coming and going between the crop and the lungs, the air makes the vocal cords vibrate. […]
They are natural controllers of many pests, as they can eat up to 100 insects a day.
The cane toad is one of the largest in the world. It lives in the Amazon, a place with the greatest diversity of frogs on the planet. It can weigh up to 1 kilo and measure 30 centimeters.
[…]
Frogs are able to catch food with their tongue and can't keep their eyes open when they go to swallow, because the process ends up forcing their eyelids down.
[…]
From frog eggs, tadpoles are born, which have characteristics of both frog and fish. They live in water and undergo various metamorphoses until, finally, they become frogs.
These animals are cold-blooded. This means that your body temperature is controlled by the temperature of the environment – whether that of the water or the air. When the body gets too cold, they find a place in the sun to keep warm.
They can be found all over the world, with the exception of Antarctica.
