Behind only tigers and lions, the jaguar is the third largest cat in the world. But did you know that there is a difference in the size and weight of ounces according to the region
The largest jaguars in Brazil are found in the Pantanal. Researchers have already studied a male individual who weighed 148 kg.
The males are larger than the females and in the Pantanal region the average weight of the feline is 80 kg. In the Caatinga, for example, the animal is much smaller and weighs around 45 kg. This difference is mainly due to the supply of food, which the jaguar finds in each environment.
