The performance show “Poetry for every Sampler”, by Richard Serraria, is a dynamic and creative cultural action that invites participants to experience dialogues between poetry and music. The show takes place on November 22 (Thursday), at 6:30 pm, at Sala Carlos Carvalho. The show is part of the “Acalanto” project, which promotes selected local artists through public calls. Admission is free with distribution of passwords one hour before.
Poet, songwriter and doctor in Creative Writing Applied to Song (UFRGS), Ricard Serraria presents such an intervention in which percussion instruments, a guitar and a sampler are used. Song and word gain a sensorial dimension when different soundscapes are created through instruments and voice. In the repertoire, authors such as Paulo Leminski, Wally Salomão, João Cabral de Melo Neto, Mário Pirata, Lenine, Racionais MC's, Chico Buarque and even songs by Richard Serraria.
It is an autonomous and solo show, with a well-structured poetic, musical and visual dimension - interconnected in a way that compose a very impressive whole: a musician, a guitar, percussions and a sampler, diverse poetry and many universes beeps. It's a poetic solo that feels like a whole band. A dynamic, experimental and at the same time well-balanced spectacle that catches the eye until the last poem.
