The name of this bird already gives the first indications about one of its main characteristics: the preference for swamps and flooded areas.
The brejo chopim has a plumage, as the names already indicate, centered in black and yellow tones.
In addition, it is also known for its melodious, unmistakable song, which it presents even while flying (the sound it emits is a kind of “tac-tac”).
In general, it measures 24 centimeters, with 70 grams of weight. It usually lives in a flock and often performs with its peers, almost always perched next to each other a foot away.
