Manaus

Manaus, capital of the state of Amazonas, is located on the banks of the Rio Negro, very close to where the waters of the Negro meet the waters of the Solimões. It should be remembered that, as there are few roads in the Amazon, a large part of the transport of cargo and people is _________ by boat, on rivers.
