Read this text that tells us about the book “Chapéu”, written by Paul Hoppe:
lost objects
We live losing and finding things on the street, at school, in public spaces. Have you found any object you wanted to take home? What was it? Did you ever wonder who it could be and the history that that object had lived? Because Hugo found a hat forgotten on a park bench in the book Hat. Immediately, he started thinking about everything he could do with that hat: protect himself from the rain, the sun, do magic, slide on top of it in the snow. He wanted to take it home. But his mother asked a simple question: "What if someone needs this hat?"
Hugo thought of the girl who would wet her hair in the rain, the lifeguard roasting in the sun, the magician without tricks, and the boy who wouldn't play in the snow. And do you know what Hugo did? Well try to imagine!
