The Kite Hawk is a species with long wings and tail, measuring 35 cm in length. He hunts by “sifting” against the wind, examining the ground at a height of 30 meters.
To do this, it keeps its wings quite high and its feet hanging down with its toes closed.
And this is how, sifting, this bird of prey looks for small animals such as mice, amphibians and reptiles, in addition to capturing insects in mid-flight. He lives alone or in pairs.
