Also called penacheiro and bottle washer, this tree is often used to decorate green areas, due to two things: the flowers of plastic beauty and a certain eucalyptus odor. It also has application as a hedge. In addition to the red flowers, there are pink and white hybrids. In any case, they are very attractive to hummingbirds.
There are many similarities between this species and the Callistemon lanceolatus
