Text interpretation, “Piada do Juquinha”, suitable for 7th grade students. Through the proposed questions, the humor generated by the joke is approached, as well as the conflict that originated it. It is worth adding that contents such as language levels (formal and informal) and use of the comma are explored, taking the joke in question as a reference.

Read the joke:
Juquinha was crying a lot, when his grandfather, unable to stand that crying anymore, asked:
– Why are you crying, Juquinha?
– I lost a 1 real coin I got from my father.
– Take 1 real. There, no crying. Sorted out.
A little later, Juquinha started to cry again.
– What is this, Juquinha? Did you lose the real I gave you? – asks the grandfather.
– Not grandpa. It's here!
– So why are you crying again?
– It's just that if I hadn't lost what daddy gave me, I would have 2 reais now!
