We made banners, really big, asking “HELP OUR FRIEND”, “CONTRIBUTE TO A BIG CAUSE: LIFE”.
On Saturday, we took the toll. We are on the corner of a very busy avenue, on the sides of the school. When cars stopped at headlights, we ran. […] It was sensational. Many people, of course, suspected:
– What's this, toll for ice cream later?
It's amazing how after so many deceits, so many mischiefs that are known, people begin to doubt everyone. But then we explained, with as much courage as possible:
– It's to help buy medicine for a friend with AIDS.
