The most noble and disputed fish among fishermen in Brazilian rivers. It is a leather fish, lives on the bottom of rivers and specimens with more than two meters in length and weighing more than one hundred kilos have been recorded. It has large mustaches and the whole leather dotted with small spots (hence its name). Its meat is very tasty and very delicate.
