NAME:
Once upon a time there was a dove. One day, the dove was on the branch of a tree near a river.
Suddenly, the dove saw a drowning ant and was desperately trying to get out of the water. The dove quickly decided to help the ant. She plucked a leaf from the tree and dropped it into the water. The ant climbed the leaf and floated on it until it reached the river's edge. The ant was very grateful to the dove for saving her life and promised to return the favor one day.
A few days later, the dove was in another tree. A hunter was passing by. The hunter readied his weapon and was ready to fire when he screamed in pain. The dove was frightened and flew. She was saved by her friend the ant! She saw what the hunter was going to do and bit his foot hard.
By saving the dove, the ant proved to be a true friend.
Moral of the story: A friend in need is a true friend.
