NAME:

Gentile, the lion tamarin

Gentile was a much-loved little lion tamarin, and with that peace he was well used to it. One day, she heard a shot fire in the distance, her father said they were men coming to hunt. They stayed hidden until the men left. Afterwards, Gentilico went outside to play. I had many little friends, who gathered in a tree. They looked for fruits and seeds until late afternoon. One day, Gentilico woke up to the fuss of the animals.

“Let's get out of here,” her mother said, her voice thick.

The monkey clung to its mother, still sleepy; that was when he saw the red, smoky sky in the distance. Many days later the rain came to wash the entire forest. And all the animals then returned to party. Gentile even joked... Only with the butterflies, because his little friends had stayed there in the flames... Gentile hopes that men don't show up and so that the other little friends can come and grow… Her father and mother made another house to live in and thus live life, and what good it has to to give.
