Fragment of "The Invisible Man"

He pointed to the center of the page. Mr. Bunting blushed slightly and looked closer, apparently having some difficulty with his spectacles. Suddenly, he became aware of a strange sensation at the back of his neck. He tried to lift his head, but was met with unyielding resistance. The sensation was of a curious grip, as of a strong, firm, irresistible hand pressing her chin against the table.
