Big fan of football, little Will Brennan (Perry Eggleton) is an 11-year-old boy, a fanatical supporter of Liverpool. At the public school where he studies, in the south of England, the love and knowledge of the sport is all that sustains his routine.
Since the death of the mother, the boy lives in a boarding school. After three years away, Gareth (Damian Lewis), Will's father, suddenly appears in his son's life. He brings with him two tickets for them to watch the Champions League final in Istanbul, Turkey. In the decision for the title, the English team faces the powerful Milan team, from Italy. Passionate about the sport, Will loves the novelty.
Despite the initial happiness, not everything is rosy in the little boy's life. He suffers a further setback when his father unexpectedly dies before the trip to accompany the long-awaited game. The orphan overcomes the sadness and remains determined to fulfill the agreement.
Will wants to honor his father's memory and get to the Turkish capital to see the football match on his own. The young man decides to face his fears and embarks on an exciting journey full of challenges to make his dreams come true.
During the journey from England to Turkey, the boy meets a football star who hangs up his boots. Even reluctant at first, the retired player feels inspired by the boy's will and helps him achieve his goal.
