Cavalry

This bird lives in the Pantanal, usually in large flocks. Docile, it trusts fishermen and farmers, whom it approaches without fear. In more isolated areas, it even eats out of people's hands.

The popular name comes from the fact that they walk in massive groups, as if they were part of a “cavalry”. Fortunately, despite this tameness, it appears infrequently on the captive bird market.
