The month of November will once again be blessed with the glamor of the Brasilia Festival of Brazilian Cinema. The 52nd edition of the exhibition will return to traditions and intends to rescue the competitive atmosphere with an award for the best productions.
There will be 14 categories and a total of R$250 thousand paid in prizes. These will be the biggest awards in Brazilian cinema this year.
The expectation is that the exhibition will receive around 700 entries, which in this edition are simpler: just send the link where the production is saved and the responsibility for downloading and distributing the _______ films of the company itself organization.
Interested parties have until September 13th to validate their participation in the event.
The Festival's general coordinator – Francisco Almeida – said that for this year, the plan is to return to the festival some of the event's elegance.
In all, R$2.4 million from the public budget will be invested.
The Secretary of Culture of the Federal District, Adão Cândido, comments a little on the efforts made to increase these investments.
The Festival is expected to take place from November 22nd to December 1st.
The program intends to include a masterclass with an internationally renowned director, workshops, activities and debate circles about the market space – all still in the process of being defined.
Another novelty for this year – and which still depends on organization – is the online sale of tickets – an alternative that, if made possible, will be able to avoid long lines.
