Hélio was not happy about having to change schools. At the new school, the teacher and classmates were kind to him, but nothing pleased him:
– Sit next to Marcela – said the teacher.
“I don't like to sit by the window,” he said, and sat down by the door by himself.
At recess, Lucas called:
- Come play hide and seek with us.
– I don't like this joke.
Colleagues whispered to each other:
– The new student doesn't like anything.
In class the next day, Hélio was alone again and the teacher asked why he didn't want to play with the other students. Hélio confessed that he missed his old friends.
– But here you will make new friends and when you find the old companions you will have a lot of news to tell.
Hélio listened to the teacher and went to play with the other students. He had a lot of fun and when he met his old friends he was able to share his new experiences with joy.
