Fragment of the book "The Planet of Plants"

If plants didn't exist, we wouldn't exist either, because we need them to feed us. On the other hand, plants live very well without us. They appeared on Earth, more precisely in water, hundreds of thousands of years ago: long before men! They evolved little by little. There are the flowerless plants, mosses, ferns, conifers, and flowering plants, which are the most widespread, despite having appeared last.
