NAME:
A dog, to whom the butcher had thrown a bone, was running home with his prize as fast as he could. Crossing a narrow walkway, he looked down and saw himself reflected in the still water like a mirror. But the greedy Dog thought he saw a real Dog carrying a bone much bigger than he was.
If he had stopped to think about it, he would have had a different reaction. But instead of thinking, he dropped the bone in the river and leapt over the Dog in the river, only to find himself swimming his way to shore. At last he managed to get out, and as he thought sadly of the good bone he had lost, he realized what a stupid dog he had been.
