The American cockroach is the most numerous species. With a large size – 4cm – these are the champions when it comes to scaring people. When one of them flies through a window, those who are afraid of cockroaches run out the door. Despite the name, this species came from Africa. But they hid in ships and spread across the world. Therefore, thanks to humans, they can currently be found in all regions with a tropical climate.
