NAME:

Fingerless finger painting

Sujinho, the hyena, brought Zig and Zag a present when he arrived.
“Here, for you guys,” he says dryly. And deliver the gift to them.
– Oh! – exclaims twins at once.
– Wow! Thanks! – they say together.
They open a box and find six brightly colored ink pots and a roll of glossy paper. They try to understand what it is.

So Zag asks:
- What is this?
– Finger painting – Sujinho answers, without even a smile.
'We don't have a finger, but you can still use it,' he says, shrugging.
– Let's try it, Dirty! - the twins say and take the gift to the kitchen table.
In moments, they are covered in paint of every color. Even the little guy participated.
– Look! I can do my hoof painting! exclaims Zig, forcing his paw on the paper.
“Mine is made with big soft paws,” says Sujinho, amused.
He mixes the red and orange paints, tracing a trail of brown footprints.
Zag makes patches of different colors in a row and passes his leg over it, forming an arc as he blends the colors into the paper.
- Hey! I created a rainbow! - she screams.
Mom Zebra walks into the kitchen and watches.
- Oh my! What a mess! But what fun!
Dirty, was that your gift? - Mom says. Dirty nods.
- It's beautiful! - Mom exclaims and starts to paint too.
“Whatever,” Dirty says.
Zig and Zag look at each other and shrug. They both think: “It's going to be a long summer!”.
