The first people to care about the climate were the Egyptians. They predicted, through the movement of the Sun, stars and planets, the seasons and floods of the Nile River, whose banks were used for plantations. Today, monitoring is done by studying data, measured from instruments such as barometer (air pressure), hygrometer (relative air humidity) and anemometer (wind speed and direction). Once collected, the data is analyzed by meteorologists on supercomputers that can predict the weather with 100% accuracy in 24 hours or 70% accuracy for up to 5 days. […]
