NAME:

Sailboats

– Today is the last day of August! – Mr. Horse announces from his soap box.
– Every year we send our wish boats to the water on this day. Let's start!
All along the beach, locals follow to the pier, carrying tiny wooden boats that carry candles on top.
'I'll light our candle,' says Daddy Dino, and then hands the little boat with the candle to Dino Dino.
“Now make a wish and let go of the boat,” Dad says to Dino.

– Hmmm… What should I order? – Dino wonders.
– Do I tell the order or keep it a secret? – he asks Dad.
“Wishes aren't usually counted, but when we ship these boats, we count,” Dad replies.
- Okay, so I wish we have a summer as nice as this next year! – Dino announces.
He puts the boat in the water. It shakes and turns but floats perfectly. The candle burns glowing.
- It's beautiful, is not it? – Dino asks, feeling a little sad.
Summer is really almost over.
In all the ups and downs of the beach, small boats are leaving.
They sail from the island of fireflies into the deep waters, carrying their wishes.
