The inventor of WhatsApp is Jan Koum, who was born in Kiev, capital of Ukraine. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 17 and created the app in 2009 with several colleagues. Koum taught himself computing and even ___ joined some hacker groups until he joined Yahoo.
