As disclosed by the institution, hundreds of agents are committed to monitoring possible new threats. The team includes 51 heads of investigation stations, 89 heads of intelligence agencies (which include State Military and Civil Police) and 25 federal police officers.
According to SaferNet, making complaints on the new portal is fast, safe and simple. The user can report from websites, blogs and profiles on social networks, through posts on forums and any other type of content that seems to be corroborating with the practice of an attack.
The links, prints and other materials for the complaint will be cross-referenced with the database of the Central Nacional de Denúncias of Cyber Crimes, a body also created by SaferNet Brasil in partnership with the Federal Public Ministry (MPF).
In 16 years of operation, from 2006 to 2022, the NGO has already received and processed 767,938 anonymous complaints of crimes of this type, which were tracked on more than 143,302 different pages. Of this total, 116,070 were removed from the air because they were considered offensive.
In addition to launching the platform in partnership with SaferNet, the Federal Government is looking for options to intensify the control and fight against attacks in educational institutions.
To this end, a meeting has been scheduled for next Monday (10th), at which representatives of the Ministry will be present. of Justice and digital platforms that are used as a means of communication between criminals who plan attacks.
According to the government, the objective of the meeting is to establish a single line of action that encompasses the bodies that make up the Unified Public Security System (Susp) and digital media companies.
In the Ministry of Justice's set of measures to combat violence, an investment of R$ 150 million was announced to support school rounds and other similar actions.
These funds come from the National Fund for Public Security (FNSP) and are available for states and municipalities, which are responsible for ostensive patrolling in schools, as provided for in Constitution.
Still on this subject, last Thursday (6th), the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) participated in a meeting led by the Ministry of Education. The meeting is part of the Working Group that was created to create ways to prevent and/or face acts of violence within schools.
The ministers of Education, Camilo Santana; of Human Rights and Citizenship, Silvio Almeida; the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Márcio Macedo; from Sport, Ana Moser; and Health, Nísia Trindade.
Representatives of the Ministry of Culture and the Communication Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic were also present.
