He is a comic book character from Marvel Comics, which appeared in the 60s and had a movie adaptation in 2003. Mathew Murdock was an excellent student and athlete, who, while still in his teens, was blinded due to an accident with a truck carrying toxic waste. As a result, Matt lost his eyesight at the same time he noticed the amplification of his other senses. He assumed uniform and the code name Daredevil to avenge the death of his father, Jack Murdock, a dead decaying boxer, who refused to lose a fight. Being a sympathetic hero, Daredevil has declined invitations to join the Avengers and has Spider-Man as a close friend.
