It had been twelve days since Jorge had left and, despite the heat and dust, Luisa was getting dressed to go to Leopoldina's house. If Jorge knew he wouldn't like it, no! But she was so sick of being alone! She was so bored! In the morning they still had the arrangements, the sewing, the toilet, some romance… But in the afternoon!
When Jorge used to return from the ministry, the loneliness seemed to widen around her. He missed the your touch of company, your steps in the hallway!…
