The salary bonus is a benefit granted to PIS taxpayers, in the case of private companies, or Pasep, for employees of public bodies. In 2020, some people were left without the benefit due to a problem that occurred in the payment of the allowance, and until today they have not received it. Therefore, it was defined that those who did not receive the salary bonus in 2020 will receive double in 2022.

This benefit corresponds to the payment of, at most, a minimum wage for people who worked for pay for at least 30 days in the base year. In addition, it is also necessary that the person has received an average of up to two minimum wages. per month and who has already been registered with the CNIS or the PIS/Pasep Participation Fund for at least 5 years.
With regard to the amounts received, this varies according to the minimum wage of the year in which the allowance is being paid and the number of months that the person worked. The calculation is as follows: the amount to be received is equal to the minimum wage divided by twelve and then multiplied by the number of months the individual worked. Therefore, as the minimum wage for 2022 is equal to R$ 1,212.00, for each month worked you will receive R$ 101.00 in salary bonus.
People who did not receive the allowance in 2020 can be paid retroactively this year. This means that these citizens will receive double the benefit this year.
Payments for people registered with PIS are made by Caixa Econômica Federal and are made according to the month of birth. With that, transfers started in February for those born in the months of January, February, March, April, May and June. For those born in other months, payment begins in March.
Those who are registered with Pasep receive payment through Banco do Brasil, according to the last digit of their registration number. Therefore, for those with the last digit between 0 and 5, payments started in February, and the others will start in March.
It is important to remember that all payments can be made until December 29th and the dates above correspond only to their beginning.
